Anonymous' personal story

I am a victim of a 3 year psychological, coercion, financial abusive, electronic device controlling, physical and emotional abusive relationship. I have reported the abuse mostly over the 3 years to medical professionals and also psychologists and 1800 RESPECT and however I have now broken free from major DV and Family Violence where there is two young children of my relationship still in the house where family violence occurs between the mother and her own mother (The grandparent of my two young children).

The police have wrongfully charged and arrested me funnily the same day I exercised my rights to sign a Family Lawyer to represent me in a Family Law matter there is so much from witnesses, times, dates, medicals of her abusive nature and the local authorities are just brushing me off. The Police same time charge me but same time a detective wants me to hand over statements and evidence to the same LAC (What a conflict legally).

I have so much evidence of proving my innocence and I need advocates.

The police kept me for 5 hours before they even gave me rights to call a lawyer, they also failed to tell me what I was even under arrest for and as soon as I declared I was aboriginal it changed they let me call Aboriginal Legal Services however violated my privacy and rights to speak to the lawyer in private as I stood at their custody arrest desk with everyone present from other cell inmates and a officer within under 1 metre of my call with the Custody Lawyer saying to remain silent. If the police have not told you after 5 hours what you're even charged with, something is not right here.

I am also related a retired Police Officer (45 years experience) who was present on speaker phone when I was arrested. He told my arresting officers that I hold crucial evidence that I need to be handed over to the CAS Unit (Child Abuse Squad) however the Police ignored him.

There are so many injustices here. I need so many advocates. I am a victim of DV and Family Violence and I am not being heard by authorities. It is disgusting to feel silenced by those who are meant to serve and protect us.
